The work to explore the idea of transgression within a framework of spatial illegality. By identifying the transgressive micro- adaptive tactics people employ to appropriate space, purposefully &/or subconsciously, domesticity, publicly and functionally, I will investigate how incremental changes can lead to a larger shift in the character of a space leading to the emergence of a new pattern of organization within the city. The analysis is then substantiated by the distillation of a set of meta space appropriating principles and the creation of a board game to demonstrate how different urban forces engage with urban realm. The board game acts as the vehicle to express the interplay that occurs when claiming territory by subversive creative transgression.
The game is about territory and the modes and ways people can rewrite the urban realm through transgressive tactics
