The film looks at the process of making ‘Fufu’ in Ghana. The process requires two people, one to pound and the other to move and turn the pounded Cassava and yams. The making becomes a performance. The everyday mundane act of preparing the food becomes a ritual. The choreography reveals a hidden intimacy and beauty in the simple act of pounding.
